From January 2023, eligible Ontarians will have access to the Canada Greener Homes Grant, which is available as part of the HER+ initiative. The grant does not depend on any specific type of heating fuel used by homeowners. The HER+ program rebates will be given for eligible retrofits, such as home insulation, windows and doors, and renewable energy systems, as a complete package to assist Ontarians to maximize energy savings in their homes.

“Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and Enbridge Gas Inc. (Enbridge Gas) have reached an agreement for the co-delivery of the Canada Greener Homes Grant. Through a single window to all eligible Ontarians via Enbridge Gas’ enhanced Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program,” according to Minister Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Natural Resources.
