Heat Pump Rebate – Essex
An Opportunity for Essex Homeowners to Upgrade to a High-Efficiency Heat Pump System
Essex homeowners have the chance to reduce energy usage and contribute to a more sustainable environment from January 1st, 2023 to December 31st, 2023. The government is offering the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) Program, which provides homeowners with a rebate of up to $10,600 for upgrading their old furnace or air conditioner to a high-efficiency central or ductless heat pump system.
The HER+ Program is a part of the government’s efforts to reduce energy usage and emissions across Canada. Upgradation of a heat pump system not only saves energy but also helps protect the environment.
Heat pumps are a more efficient alternative to traditional heating systems. Instead of generating heat from fuel or electricity, they transfer heat, reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Before taking advantage of these rebates, have an energy audit performed by a Registered Energy Advisor (REA) from Energy Werx Windsor. A REA will assess your home’s energy usage and recommend the best heat pump system for you.
The heat pump must be installed by a qualified energy advisor, and both the indoor and outdoor units must be new and in good working order. Submit the application and supporting documents, including the invoice, within six months of the invoice date to receive the rebates.
Upgrade your home and enjoy energy savings and a greener environment. Contact Energy Werx Windsor for more information on the HER+ Program and how to apply for the rebates. Don’t miss the opportunity to upgrade to a high-efficiency heat pump system and receive up to $10,600 from the government.
